Job profile
A Japanese global trading company is looking for an account Assistant and Administrator who can assist senior management.
Reporting to
Managing Director, Account & Administrative Manager, and General Manager of Production
Accounting Duties
- Accounts payable and receivable administration.
Accounts receivable - generating sales invoices, posting receipts daily basis, reconciliation, review aged debtors.
Accounts payable - inputting suppliers invoices, staff expense, posting payments daily basis, reconciliation.
- Inputting accruals and prepayments.
- Multi-currency bank reconciliation.
- Supporting to produce financial statements (BS, PL), income statement.
- Assist accounting reports to the Managing Director and the company Head Office in Japan.
- Assistance in audits (internal/external: statutory audit, CASS 5 audit).
- Supporting corporation tax, VAT returns.
- Supporting FCA reports.
IT Duties
- Raising IT issues to the company IT dept.
- Supporting IT assessment.
- Assistance with day-to-day use of the systems.
General Administrative Duties
- Booking accommodation and flights for staff business trips.
- Maintain entertainment costs.
- Support for board meetings.
- Ordering office supplies and arranging couriers.
- Scheduling meetings including visitor registration, booking meeting rooms.
- Maintaining fixed assets and inventory check (low volume).
- Comply with company rules and regulations.
- Supporting KYC, credit limits.
Essential Criteria
- Double-entry bookkeeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills (Both English and Japanese language).
- Have excellent attention to details.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability working in a small team.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Sage 200.
- Good understanding of insurance.
- Proficient in IT skills and good understanding of accounting software.
