The London office of a Japanese financial institution is looking for a project finance professional. This role requires candidates who can speak Japanese at a fluent level.

As a small branch, the role will involve both project finance front office duties and middle office duties (including liaison with the head office in Japan).
Existing investments include, for example, offshore wind projects.
[Key responsibilities]
- Conducting due diligence (credit analysis) on new Project Finance projects and making investment proposals (RINGI) to the Credit Committee at Head Office in Japan.
- Documentation of project finance transactions.
- Monitor existing project finance deals.
- Attend lender meetings for monitoring purposes.
- Conduct research on various topics relevant to the branch's loan portfolio and prepare reports on EU regional regulatory framework, etc. as required.

- Fluent in Japanese and English
