Position: Service Engineer
Company: They provide electrical/mechanical products for major retailers such as Sainsbury, Tesco etc.
Salary: £30-45K / year
Location: Domestic travel 3-4 days/week to Southampton, Bournemouth, Chichester, Kent etc.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm / Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm (45 minutes daily for lunch)
Language: Business English is a must. Business Japanese would be an advantage.
【Responsibility】
1. Commissioning, Installation Support and Project Management of the company’s products (electrical/mechanical products).
2. Repair, maintenance, calibration and support of the company’s products.
3. You must manage the above in a professional and time-effective manner.
4. Promote the company’s products such as Service Contracts, Spare Parts and other the company’s products.
5. Agree to the On Duty Rota and be available to be on standby for duty at the allotted time after a suitable training period.
6. Train customers in the use of the company’s products online and with the use of classroom aides after a suitable training period.
7. Internal Repairs and Technical Support.
8. You must communicate positively with customers during your visits and ensure their requests are considered favourably.
9. External Sales/Engineering Support – You must manage your geographical area and pro-actively sell their After Sales Products and support Sales Area Managers pro-actively.
10. In-house support such as trials and customer demonstrations.
Your duties may vary according to the changing needs of the Company, provided such duties are reasonable given your knowledge, skills and experience.
Possibility to work longer hours as required by your immediate manager or as required by the job commitments when necessary.

1. Engineering experience related to electrical/mechanical products (Must)
2. Background in Electrical Knowledge (Must)
3. Domestic travel 3-4 days/week to our clients to Southampton, Bournemouth, Chichester, Kent etc. (Must). Basically, no need to go to the office.
4. Engineering experience related to weighing instruments or packaging (Preferable)
5. Japanese in fluency or experience working in a Japanese company (Preferable)
