Job Description:

 
Support other offices in the EMEA region, of which the London office is responsible, The office aims to promote business collaboration and innovation in Japan and Europe.

 

The aim is to create collaborative partnerships between Japanese companies and local start-ups and other companies with superior technologies in three fields, particularly in the digital field, carbon neutrality and healthcare, as well as in cross-cutting fields such as AI and quantum technology, The role will be to identify start-ups and other local companies with superior technologies in these fields and strengthen partnerships.

 

The role will include: 

  • Identifying Japanese companies interested in collaboration and forming and providing collaborative collaboration programmes such as meet-up services and sourcing support services to these companies.

  • Assist in the planning of events such as seminars, pitch events, workshops and symposiums, as well as publicise, operate and follow up with companies.

  • Assisting in the formation of teams, particularly in the wider European region, for the promotion of collaborative cooperation projects in the EMEA region, with a focus on the European region.

  • Support for general administration, accounting and general affairs.

  • Preparation of approval documents and approval procedures, management of corporate documents and goods, processing of travel and transport expenses, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Able to work without the need to produce a visa. 

  • Able to work five days a week. 

  • A native speaker of English or Japanese, able to communicate in both English and Japanese and produce business-friendly documents.

  • Have a good understanding of the social, cultural and business customs in the UK and be suitable to work with UK companies while building trust.

  • (Preferred) Experience working in open innovation at a large digital company, or at a start-up or other tech company, or have a track record of supporting such companies.
