Japanese Speaking Payment Manager

A major Japanese financial institution is looking for a General Payment Manager.
Salary: £55,000
Location: City of London
Work Hours: 9:00 to 17:00
Hybrid: 3 days a week in office, 2 days a week from home

**Job Purpose: **
Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the General Payment department, managing, analyzing and reporting on expense budgets as approved by headquarters.
 

**Primary Duties:**
Maintain payments and records
Plan, review and monitor budgets
Prepare reports
Other responsibilities include membership, key documents, policy management, and auditor support
 
**Qualifications and Experience:**
Accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, etc.) preferred
Audit background preferred
Proficiency in Japanese language
Knowledge and experience in accounting for expenses, payment schedules, and fixed assets
Experience in budgeting, analyzing actual vs. budgeted variances, reconciliation and reporting, and processing payments
Experience with mid-size companies (preferably in the financial services industry)
Experience handling large volumes of data (invoices)
Experience supervising junior staff
Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
Ability to work immediately with limited guidance
