London GNOC Engineer (Shift) - English

Company Location: Telehouse Docklands, London
Salary: £23,000 - £29,000 (depending on experience)
Office working: Shift-based role (4 days work, 4 days off)

Job description:
- Monitor and maintain services to ensure smooth operation and fast restoration of customer networking issues 24/7.
- Handle Japan domestic services and maintain regular communication with customers and domestic teams in Japan.
- Troubleshoot network issues and escalate matters to the relevant teams when necessary.
- Create monthly reports for customers and update documentation, including Typo3 documents.
- Provide support for access arrangement, maintenance notifications, and collaborate with relevant parties.
- Travel within EMEA+CIS regions when required.
Requirements:
- Fluent in business-level English and Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- Experience in customer service or call center operations is advantageous.
- Networking skills, such as knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, MPLS, ADSL, SDSL, and Fibre cabling.
- Experience with servers, firewalls, and Cisco equipment.
- Proficiency with Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Good communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
