Compliance Officer Position at International Bank's London Branch
We are seeking a qualified Compliance Officer to join our client, an esteemed international bank's London branch. The current incumbent is planning to retire later this year, and this role will serve as a replacement for the SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) and SMF17 (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) positions. The successful candidate will be registered as the new SMF16 and SMF17. We aim to hire as soon as possible.
Salary: Up to £125,000 – £140,000
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee compliance functions and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage anti-money laundering (AML) protocols and reporting.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be eligible for SMF16 and SMF17 roles as per PRA and FCA regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in compliance and AML within the UK banking sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• (Preferred) Experience working in a foreign bank's branch office in the UK.
