Japanese Speaking Commercial Support Executive (Logistics Company)

 

Job profile

Global logistics company are looking for a Commercial Support Executive, who can support their sales teams & customer services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Continually promote their services to new and existing customers; to up-sell the services and increase business revenue.

  • Provide quotations, proposals and RFQs (air, sea, rail and road) for customers and overseas partners, including data entry and making presentation material when required.

  • Support communication in Japanese Language for customers and overseas partners.

  • Support Key Accounts and Japanese customers with service detail and proactive communication.

  • Acknowledge multiple daily requests from overseas regarding import, export and logistics services and regulations and respond with accurate and timely information accumulated from personal knowledge and department managers.

  • Be involved in negotiations with partners to drive efficiency and cost improvement.

  • Assist local staff, making customer service and sales call visits if and when necessary. Attend joint visits as a ‘trusted advisor’ if necessary, as appropriate.

  • Gather sales lead and sales information and provide internally and to overseas partners.

  • Have a flexible approach as no two days are the same and situations will arise in which no one has dealt before, requiring a creative mind.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Monthly reports must be completed expeditiously and accurately mainly using Smartsheet.

  • Work closely with the UK Sales Manager, Branch Managers and Procurement teams to drive growth and deliver positive results.

  • Build relationships with external and internal teams and Managers

  • Build relationships with existing core carriers and identify benefits in new carrier opportunities. 

 

Required Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Ideally five or more years’ experience in a similar position and role.

  • The ability to influence, negotiate and forge strong relationships with our key carrier partners

  • The ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and our varied customer base

  • An articulate speaker and creative thinker with the ability to share their views succinctly and sensibly

  • Strong and creative skills, especially involving technology, MS PowerPoint and Excel Essential
