Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled IT Helpdesk Professional to join our team, working on-site at a customer location in Leeds. This role is crucial in providing first-line support to our customers, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of their technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on desktop support, including network and PC implementation and optimization.
  • Planning and Design: Understand and plan detailed designs for customer networks and PCs.
  • Security Management: Configure network/PC/desktop security elements and manage day-to-day service delivery.
  • Migration and Support: Plan and execute migrations, and support PC and Call Centre systems.
  • Testing and Implementation: Conduct proof of concept and acceptance testing, negotiate with vendors, and develop new features and services.
  • Documentation and Troubleshooting: Maintain documentation, troubleshoot first-level issues, and assist as an escalation point.
  • Customer Interaction: Visit customer premises for projects or maintenance work, and attend customer meetings.
  • Reporting and Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide periodic status reports to line managers and handle ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PC software (Microsoft WIN 10/11, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, AD administration, Virtualization, Cloud (AWS, Azure), Office/Mailer, Switch/Router/IPT, and Firewall products).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese (Japanese is mandatory).
  • Experience: Proven customer service experience and strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliable timekeeping, and attendance.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Customer site in Leeds.
  • Start Date: 1st September 2024.
  • Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (9 am to 5 pm), Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: Up to £30,000, depending on experience.
  • Interviews: Initial interviews via Teams, followed by in-person interviews at Thomas More Sq / Docklands.
