Main Purpose:
The PMO Specialist, a member of the PMO team, is responsible for reviewing and reporting on projects.
Position in Organisation:
Reports to the Department Manager/Division Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organize project review meetings.
- Obtain and coordinate necessary documents for reviews.
- Facilitate project reviews and identify issues.
- Record and share minutes and prepare review reports.
- Improve project management quality and efficiency.
- Standardize business processes.
- Provide and promote project management tools.
- Participate in meetings with the Japanese headquarters.
- Review and improve PMO rules and operations.
- Conduct project management training and document procedures.
- Travel overseas for PMO activities and other assigned tasks.
- Handle ad-hoc duties assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- 5-10 years in PM or PMO roles, including managing IT projects and conducting project reviews.
- Preferably experienced with Japanese headquarters.
Knowledge and Skills:
- IT infrastructure, application development, cloud services.
- Project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE 2, PMBOK).
- Agile development.
- Strong documentation and review skills.
- Understanding of business processes.
Language:
- Fluent in English.
- Japanese (business level) preferred.
